Hi, I'm EJ.
I'm Korean — born in Seoul, and someone who has called several different places home over the years.
I grew up moving around — spending part of my childhood abroad, coming back to Korea as a teenager, and eventually settling into Seoul and the surrounding area for most of my adult life. I've also lived outside Korea again as an adult, which gave me a different perspective on what it means to be Korean, and how hard it can be to find honest, straightforward information about Korea in English.
That's why I started this blog.
I'm a mom of three — two sons and a daughter — and somewhere between raising kids, traveling, and navigating life in different countries, I realized I had a lot to say about Korea that I wasn't seeing written down anywhere. Not the tourist-brochure version. The real version.
On this blog, you'll find:
- 🇰🇷 Korean culture and traditions
- 🍜 Food guides
- ✈️ Travel tips
- 🏙️ Everyday life in Korea
- 📺 K-pop and entertainment
I'm not a professional writer. But I know Korea — the food, the seasons, the unwritten rules, the things that don't make it into guidebooks.
I hope something here is useful to you. Thanks for stopping by. 😊
